Lake Shawn was born in 1962 and founded by Ray “Bull” Brubaker, who developed a coal mine strip pit into a fishing paradise. Before he passed away in 2007, his family members purchased the property and have carried on his legacy ever since. Learning from the best, the boys strive to maintain the Powhatan charm, stocked waters and pristine landscaping standards that Ray set in motion all those years ago.
